Temporarily Moved

The Benicia Daily Photo will, for the time being, be occasionally updated on its sister blog:

www.housewellington.blogspot.com

Wellington, after all, is located in Benicia. So anyone itching for a photo of Benicia can get a fix over there. Don't expect an actual DAILY photo, just virtually daily.

The Benica Daily Photo will return sometime in the future. Probably. Almost for sure.

Christmas Tree Lot

This is the Christmas Tree Lot at the Benicia Historical Museum on Camel Road. It's a fund raiser for the historical museum and for Genesis House. This is the first year. It's been a huge success!

Okay, I know Benicia Daily Photo is a misnomer. But Benicia Almost Daily Photo doesn't sound as good. And I'm doing my best. My goal is to eventually make it part of my daily routine. Then it WILL be a true Daily Photo. Until then, we'll just be a little patient with myself. Besides, Benicia is little. We don't want to run out of things to look at, right?

Tree Lighting December 3 - Sailor Jack's

December 3 was the annual Benicia Holiday Open House and Christmas Tree Lighting on 1st Street. It was a beautiful, brisk night. Thousands of people turned out. The street was closed to traffic and merchants were open late, many offering treats to the passers by. The lighting took place at the end of the street at 6:00. Here is a view of Sailor Jack's and one of the palm trees that line 1st Street near the harbor.
