Benicia Camel Barn Museum Building

This building is located across the street from the Benicia Camel Barn. It's really old and made of brick which are two of my favorites.

Sometimes people have a hard time remembering to upload a picture every single day. Just at first.

Benicia Library

The library is one of the best reasons to live downtown. The book and movie selection is fabulous - they can order in almost any movie, even first-runs. And don't forget the Friends of the Library Book Sale the first Saturday of the month! Most books are $1.

Update: I think it's actually the 2nd Saturday of the month, but I'm too lazy to look it up. Here's the website:

The Alleys of Benicia

One of my favorite parts of Benicia is the alleys. Behind the beautiful vintage homes run miles of alleys, like little secrets, kept just for the locals. While some residents use the alleys for their garbage cans and parked cars, others lovingly tend these private areas. There are little shacks, detached garages, picket fences and even old barns. It's a more relaxing way to walk to downtown or the library. Like walking down a country lane with very little traffic.

Benicia Pier

Benicia Pier at the end of First Street looking towards Carquinez Bridge. Another beautiful day in my favorite home town.
